Child Development is one of the major programs of VIN’s Integrated Community Development Approach. Goal of the Children development program is to protect the rights of all children in the Jitpur community by providing them with access to basic quality education, developing their life skills & providing access to health services through community health program. VIN has different projects in children development program such as Children’s Clubs (CC), Early Childhood Development (ECD) School Attendance Project (SAP) and Orphanage. VIN welcomes volunteers from across the globe so as to assimilate the children with the latest teaching methodology and way of providing care. Besides, it aims to orient the teachers about skills, technology and other aspects of the broader world to the closed Nepalese community through interaction. The volunteers paint and decorate classrooms, library and the surrounding of the school.

Jitpur community of Kathmandu District, which is only about 11 km away from main ring road to Balaju, Kathmandu.
Accommodation:
The volunteers will stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female Volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. There will be 2-4 persons in one room. Volunteers are required to sleep on the simple beds. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Language:
Basic English should be spoken among participants.

Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
Leisure Activities:
Either before or after your workcamp, there exists the option to undertake a short VIN-organized tour to one of Nepal’s nearby attractions.

The participation fee will be 250 Euros to be paid on your arrivals; this will cover foods, transportation for airport pick up and pick up and drop to the working community, accommodation, administration cost, material for the camps, T-shirt, and VIN certificate of participation. Volunteers are requested to bear their own health and travel insurance. Please keep it in your mind that all personal expenses and free day expenses are excluded.
