Since 2000, volunteers from all over the world have been participating in summer programmes designed to improve the kids vegetable farm. During the last years we focused on improving the facilities for children and volunteers and less on the farming methods and ways. Right now our ways to do farming and cultivating are not really productive and eco friendly. Other farmers who are doing the same work around us are doing the same. Kids and local people work very hard during the whole summer but in autumn they get a very small harvest in comparison to their hard work. So from this year onwards we are going to develop our farming methods with a training centre of eco farming for the local people and kids. They will learn in our centre basic but very important ecological farming methods and know-how. We wish to be able to get the biggest amount of harvest, using the smallest amount of land. Volunteers will work in an eco vegetable farm and develop the eco farming training centre. Vegetables from the eco farm will be donated to the centre of orphan kids and local families.
Work:
Main works will be removing weeds in the field, working in the green house, making a water canal for the farm, making compost, making study materials for kids/locals, etc. Quite tiring but let's enjoy it!

« We did a lot of conservation work, building hiking paths, tidying up wooded areas, removing weeds, planting trees, etc. The work was extremely successful and I found it very rewarding. »
