Khmer village is a place created by a Singaporean woman aiming to show tourists Khmer architecture and how Cambodian people lived in the past. Although this place is open to tourists it is also useful for the local people as it provides jobs. It also has a training centre for local people to learn how to make recycling products and handicraft. The centre is building two classes rooms for local children and students to learn English and Chinese so they need volunteers to do this task. Khmer village is located about 150 km north of Phnom Penh and it takes about 2 hours to get there by bus.

« I would recommend participating in a workcamp, especially with VAP, who ensured that I found a project to suit me and provided essential training for me in preparation for my trip. Being part of a workcamp really is a life-changing experience, oh, and it looks great on your CV! »
