Cunto (Creatività Urbana Napoli Territorio Orientale) is the name of a project of urban creativity in the suburbs of Ponticelli, Barra, San Giovanni in Naples through graffiti and street art. The project involves young people, schools, parishes, local associations, universities etc. into the creation of the first Center for Urban Creativity in Italy (graffiti art, murals, street art and urban design).
WORK:
In the morning the volunteers will make renovation and artistic works with kids in the hosting boarding school. In the afternoon the vvolunteers will support the work of the staff and graffiti artists. They will renovate, clean and paint 5 walls where the graffiti artists will realize the works of urban creativity.
ACCOMMODATION:
. Volunteers will live in boarding school. All hygienic services are provided. Lunch provided according to collective standards in Italy. Self cooking at breakfast and dinner.

Explora campus association works to raise awareness on civic protection and active citizenship. The association manage a campus wher is possible to have trainings and simulate emergencies. This summer Explora will host kids in summer camps, giving them the chance to become a good “civic protector”.
WORK; The volunteers will support the organization of the summer camps, working to provide an added value in term of intercultural exchange. The international volunteers will help in the activities (exercises and simulation of possible emergencies, climbing, management of camps, animation, logistic...) involving the kids in a funny way.

The association "Pro Juventute Tetto" was founded in 1953 with the aim to support youngsters giving them the chance to meet and play. In more than 50 years of activities the Association has taken different initiatives in intercultural, socio-educational and international solidarity issues. One of the main important activities of the association is hosting abandoned youngsters. Consequently a common house was built for minors, in which over a hundred youngsters have been hosted in more than 30 years of work. Other projects are: activities to fight the problems of educational dispersion and social integration of minors in the neighbourhood. These projects take place daily in the social centre of the association where there are resources and structured programmes to carry out trainings and leisure activities for migrant and Italian children. The Association is based on the voluntary work which is done by its members. During the next summer the association will organize leisure time activities for the migrant children coming from the Roma communities living in the district in collaboration with other associations. The centre will organize different activities, making optimum use of the outdoor space whilst focusing on extra curricular activities and educational initiatives. In cooperation with Lunaria and its international partners we are welcoming volunteers to support the summer programme.
WORK:
To support the staff in the educational and organizational activities. The work with the children might be stressful: volunteers are expected to work at least 7 hours per day for 5 days a week. A "tourist approach" to this workcamp is NOT welcome. Volunteers with some experience in working with children are welcomed.

The youth center 'Case del giovane', situated in the beautiful south-east of Italy, deals with multiculturalism, improving the cultural dialogue and promoting new approaches to diversity. It organizes a multicultural game festival for the children of the youth center from the 4th until the 8th of July. The volunteers will take part in planning, organizing and running this event aimed to promote active participation, give a chance to socialize and to create a positive approach to diversity.

The city of Foggia is located in the north of Apulia, a region in the south-east of Italy; it offers many historical sightseeing opportunities, especially in the surroundings there are many archaelogical sites: la Villa di Faragola, an ancient roman villa located in Ascoli Satriano (30 Km); the Paglicci cave, a prehistorical cave showing some Paleolithic mural paintings (40 km), the roman city of Herdonia (18 km). Not far, there are many of the most beautiful sea sights of Apulia: Peschici, Vieste, Rodi Garganico and Mattinata (almost 80-100 km, 1-1/5 hour).
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy working with children. Some basic knowledge of pedagogy is required.
You will have 3 days to prepare and organize the working team, then, from July 4-8 you will work 8 hours a day; at the end of each day there will be a moment for your feedback in order to evaluate and monitor the activities of the day.
Volunteers will be busy with the summer project “the OZ world” and will be involved in drama (theatre, dance and folkloristic music) workshops, sport and recreational activities (football, footing, treasure hunt), painting and handcrafting workshops (decoupage, photography, etc). Volunteers will realize all these activities with 150 youngsters with fewer opportunities aged 6 to 15 years. The objective is to provide them necessary instruments for their education and growth. It’s foreseen to go with children to sea sites for a week during the month of July.

Scisciano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 20 km northeast of Naples. One of the biggest city in this area is Nola situated in the plain between Mount Vesuvius and the Appennines. It is served by the Circumvesuviana railway from Naples. From Nola is quite easy to reach also Naples, the most important city in the Campania Region and one of the biggest city in the South of Italy. Naples historical centre was listed by UNESCO in 1995 as a World Heritage site. It is also famous for “pizza”, “caffè” (coffee) and for its wonderful landscapes. The Gulf of Naples, with its island as Capri, Ischia and Procida, is famous for its beauty all over the world. The coast is very important for tourism and historical sites. Among the most known cities: Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompei, Ercolano and the Vesuvio.
The Italian Centre of Solidarity, Rome (CEIS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1971 in Rome. CeIS inspires its activities to the contents of human solidarity. In particular, CeIS philosophy of intervention is based on the values indicated by the "Progetto Uomo", which means believing in every human being, regardless of its quality, culture, social, economic and political position. Since the beginning, CEIS has developed services as informal street unit, reception and awareness of young people and has continued and continues to promote activities and interventions aimed at preventing and combating social exclusion of people, including children. The service “Mani Colorate”, open in February 2001, aims at disadvantaged families with children from 0 to 13 years. Born as a service of attention to childhood and parenting over the time assumed the connotation of a multipurpose facility that meets the diverse needs of children and adults of reference. Each year, the service arranges in the summer months when schools are closed a summer camp for about 70 children from 5 to 13 years. It is a safe place, peaceful and happy, where parents can leave their children from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00.
The summer camp has a dual function, on one side is a valuable aid in the education of children for families in economic and social difficulties. On the other side, in a quiet but lively and stimulating space, children can learn the rules of common life and, simultaneously, experience their autonomy and ability to communicate through play and sport. In this regard, various activities are planned (games, creative and relaxing activities), and evaluated according to the different age groups. The activities will have as main theme the story of "The Wizard of Oz", chosen as the fantasy setting of the summer camp. Four workshops will be organized and managed as creative and educational (spontaneous painting, collage, paste of salt and puppet laboratories), to allow children to experience, through the manipulation and imagination, the creation of objects, so for their stimulating and rewarding . Within the organization of the camp, also a space will be devoted for the summer holidays homeworks and outdoor sports. Moreover several sightseeing to museum, zoo, seaside, swimming pool etc. will be organized.
WORK:
Volunteers will work from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00. They will support the team for the success of the summer camp in the organization of recreational activities and sports with children. Activities will be entrusted to carry on with the children according to ability, skills and predispositions of the individual volunteer. In addition to activities planned and structured during the summer camp, the volunteer will collaborate also accompanying children on trips and / or sightseeing. All the work will be done by the volunteers together with professionals.

GIS (Gruppo di Impegno Sociale) is a not for profit organization that since 1995 works in social issues and voluntary civil service activities. Gis is also in charge of a kindergarten inside Monaldi Hospital in Naples.
WORK:
Volunteers will be involved in animation activities at kindergarten in Monaldi Hospital (http://www.gisonlus.org/index.php?page=BabyParking) for children 3-11 ages. Volunteers will be involved in the activities at the daily summer camp to support local workers and volunteers and manage workshops on international games, conversation and experience exchanges
