This work camp aims is stimulating the development and the growth of the child living with a mental handicap through the instructive and playful activities. This camp is particular for those who have capacities or like working with children mentally handicapped and who can accept their peculiarities. Located 120 km in the North-west from Lomé, Kpalimé is the dreamed place for the lovers of nature and hikes who wish to discover beautiful mountainous landscapes and the tropical flora. Many natural waterfalls will permit you to cool off on the banks. Kpalimé also shelters the most important craft center in Togo where a large number of craftsmen are settled down.
Task:
Volunteers will participate in activities of non-formal education with handicapped children:
drawing workshop, painting and modelling, singing and dancing, sketch, sports… Children will discover through these different activities another way of learning. Volunteers can also present their culture: songs, dances, games…
Note, please: It would be interesting that the volunteers bring papers A4, coloUr pencils, exercise books, markers and all other articles tEDhey think they will need. At the end of work camp, volunteers will organize a representation of the activities realized in the public place in the village (dances, the games).
Leisure activities:
Outside the working times, some socio-sports animation activities with children and teenagers will be associated with this project and will be realized according to a program established by the group of volunteers. Visiting Kpalimé and make a party at the riverside of our attractive waterfalls will allow you to know well the place and to make great experience.

The aim of this work camp is to give some appropriate shelter to the needy children in the community of AHEPE. Located 50 km from Lomé with 40 thousand habitants, AHEPE is a big village perched in the district of Yoto. It is one of the biggest village in Togo with a particularly farming and welcoming population. Its history is full of traditional diversity and ancestral practices.
Task:
The first step of this work camp consists mainly of masonry :
dig the foundation, make the bricks, gather sand, collect water…and the second step is to make animation with the children of the village : dances, painting, theater, storytelling.
Leisure activities:
You can organize strolls or meetings with the particularly welcoming population and share your knowledge with the local citizens and in that case you can make a veritable cultural exchange to discover the tradtion.
