Project description:
In conjunction with a branch of international NGO, the farm land is a large parcel of land with varieties of seasonal crops. The objective is primarily to engage in “operation food basket” to be launched very soon. Attention will be given to poverty alleviation programme of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) at the global level.
Work:
Much of bush clearing, seed planting, watering the ridges and crops, plowing and harvesting will be done. New cultivation of ridges and crop layers will be carried out. Volunteers will work in all season of the year on various plantations. It will also include cultivating, planting, harvesting and stocking up the proceeds already ripe. The volunteers will have intimate relationship with village farmers and exchange practical ideas about culture, customs and living in the farm as a means of sustenance.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in the village where project is located and sometimes live in the tent.
Qualifications:
Volunteers need not be skilled in agricultural science but should be ready to act on instructions and guidelines. The camp will be supervised by an Agricultural manager and volunteers will work as a team in different areas of the farm (each group under a team leader).
Travel terminal:
Eruwa Town in Ibarapa Central area of Oyo State.
NB:
Volunteer needs to come with working hand gloves, boots, games and high motivation for the project.
Participation Fees:
250€ euro per month for Medium Term and Long Term Volunteers and this covers fully both feeding and accommodation without any extra cost to collect and return to Airport. To be paid upon arrival.

Project Description:
The project is a health sector that gives concern to treating minor and major illness in the local community. Treatment of common diseases and child care delivery are major activities of the clinical outfit. The public health centre gives attention to injury, laboratory tests, minor accidents and work towards preserving infant mortality rate. The health institution has been existence to serve about 4 villages in the past 30 years. The health services serve more than one thousand people from around the community. Lack of enough workers in the health center is a major problem, so the dispensary requires volunteers to work within the health center.
Work:
Volunteer will work along with health workers in the clinic or dispensary centres. Taking part in registration of patients, sample collection for laboratory tests and occasional moving around the sick persons on sickbay. Gathering prescribed drugs and arranging patients for consultation with Doctors. Taking care and cleaning of the environment and working with nurses and health officers on call.
Accommodation:
Living within the project centre and occasionally take time out for picnic.
Qualifications:
Good organisation, creativity and a sense of responsibility are necessary.

Wasimi Alafia Town in Ogun State.
NB:
The volunteers will be required to have passions, sociable, and ready to inculcate good values and morals into the main streams of the programme.
