This is a project organised in conjunction with a branch of an international NGO. The farm land is a large parcel of land with varieties of seasonal crops. The objective is primarily to engage in “Operation Food Basket” to be launched very soon. Attention will be given to the poverty alleviation programme of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) at a global level.
Work:
A great deal of bush clearing, seed planting, watering the ridges and crops, plowing and harvesting will be done. New cultivation of ridges and crop layers will be carried out. Volunteers will work on various plantations.

Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in the village where the project is located and sometimes will live in the tent.
Qualifications:
Volunteers need not be skilled in agricultural science but should be ready to act on instructions and guidelines. The camp will be supervised by an Agriculture manager and volunteers will work as a team in different areas of the farm (each group under a team leader).

Eruwa Town in Ibarapa Central area of Oyo State.

Volunteers should bring working gloves, boots, games and high motivation for the project.
Transportation:
VWAN takes the responsibility to collect and return volunteers to the airport at no extra fees. However, flight details and arrival schedule need to be communicated to the organisation at least two weeks before departure. Other inland transport except when on a group journey during the project, will be covered by the volunteers.
Hosting Fees:
£150.00 GBP to be paid on arrival to VWAN. Please note that this amount is also charged per month for Medium and Long Term Volunteers. So if you register to take part in one of our M/LTV projects, just multiply the number of months of your stay by the monthly fee.
A large parcel of land has been given to VWAN for cultivation and plantation of various seasonal crops suitable for farming. The land will be cleared and plowed for ridges cultivation to take place. Some local vegetables and fruits, such as cassava, maize, wheat, onions, etc are some of the seasonal products that will be planted on the farmland.
Work:
The work will consist of clearing, cultivating, planting, harvesting and stocking up the proceeds already ripe. The volunteers will be in close contact with the village farmers and exchange practical ideas about culture, customs and living in the farm as a means of sustenance.

About 100 hectares of land made available at the remote village of Agbowa Ikosi, Ikorodu local government of Lagos State

The project is set on an animal husbandry where old layers and cricket chicken and some pets will be attended to. The project is of a small scale where tamed pets are bred and nurtured for collection. Some gardens made available for rabbits and poultry will also be nurtured.
Work:
Cleaning, collection and counting of eggs. Rabbits and some other pets will be nursed and prepared for hatching. Regular cleaning, transfer and replacement of these animals will be engaged.
